Nobody arrives from a long-haul flight feeling like themselves. Your ankles are one size bigger, your neck is still set at the angle of seat 23C, and your body clock is somewhere over the Atlantic. Lisbon deserves better than the first-day fog.
What flying actually does to your body
Hours of sitting slow your circulation, which is why feet and ankles swell. Cabin air and stillness leave muscles tight in strange places, usually the neck, shoulders and lower back. And the time change scrambles your sleep just when you need it most.
None of this is serious. All of it is fixable, and most of it responds to a single well-chosen hour.
The treatments that undo it
Lymphatic drainage is the one frequent flyers book first. Light, rhythmic movements that help your body move the fluid the flight left behind. Ankles reappear. From €40.
The head, shoulders and back massage is thirty to sixty minutes aimed precisely at the parts an airplane seat punishes most. If you only have a small window between landing and dinner, this is the one. From €30.
A Swedish massage works on the third problem: sleep. Slow, full-body strokes that tell your nervous system the journey is over. Book it for the evening you arrive and let it walk you straight into your first proper night in Lisbon. From €40.
When to book it
The day you land, ideally. We are open every day from 10:00 to 22:00, so even an evening arrival leaves room to drop your bags, walk over and let go of the flight before bed. If you land late, book the next morning instead and start the trip the way you meant to.
We are on Rua da Madalena, in the centre of Lisbon, a short taxi from anywhere you are likely to be staying and five minutes on foot from Baixa.
Prices and booking
Sessions start at €30 and most run 40 to 90 minutes. Book online, send us a WhatsApp message while you wait at the baggage carousel, or simply walk in. English spoken, cards accepted, herbal tea waiting.
